Studio Policy
Please read my policy carefully before booking a lesson or consultation with me. When making a booking, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please print a copy for your reference.
24-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY
Regardless of the circumstances, any private lessons not rescheduled a minimum of 24 hours before the start time will be charged at the full rate. In the event of late rescheduling (less than 24 hours’ notice), or a no-show, the full lesson fee will be forfeited.
LESSON FEES
All lessons must be paid via BACS at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson. Pre-paid fees are non-refundable but are able to be rescheduled at any time, prior to the 24-hour deadline.
TEACHER CANCELLATION
Whilst all efforts are made to avoid teacher cancellations, there may be occasions where I am unavailable. On such an occasion, a make-up lesson may be booked at a mutually convenient time.
REGULAR RECURRING LESSONS
Recurring lesson time slots will repeat weekly or bi-weekly on the same day and time until the student asks to discontinue the time slot. Rescheduling one or several lessons means only those lessons are altered, and the regular lesson schedule will continue automatically after. The student is responsible to pay for and attend all lessons not rescheduled before the 24-hour deadline.
EXPIRY DATES
All prepaid lesson credits have an expiration date of 6 months.
The full amount must be paid upfront and is non-refundable. Partial refunds for unused lesson credits in a package are also not given. All lessons in the package must be used before they expire six months from the purchase date.
GIFT CERTIFICATES
The full amount must be paid upfront and is non-refundable. Partial refunds for unused gifted lesson credits are also not given. All lessons included in the gift certificate must be used before they expire 1 year from the purchase date.
TARDINESS
As a courtesy, please notify me via text message, if you will be late for your lesson. The time loss of your lesson will not be made up. If however you arrive on time and the lesson prior to yours runs a bit late, you will be given your full allotted time.
HOLIDAYS
Prior notice will be given if the studio will be closed due to holidays or special events. Otherwise, please assume that the lessons are scheduled as normal. If you wish to move your lesson due to holidays (school, public, or otherwise), please see the 24-hour cancellation policy above.
POST OPERATIVE REHABILITATION
I undertake frequent observations within a clinical setting and am happy to focus on the initial stages of rehabilitation, following on from clinical therapy and to help facilitate a return to performing. When a vocal fold pathology is or has been present, for my own peace of mind, I require a documented letter of referral from the clinician who has made the diagnosis.
